And what better place to learn than the largest ski resort in Austria, but we are also going to be showing you things to do with the skis on and without. Okay, let’s check it out. Let’s do it. The skicircus also known as the Home of Lässig is a winter sport area in the Austrian federal states of Salzburg and Tirol. It connects the municipalities of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Leogang and since, also Fieberbrunn, resulting in kilometers of slopes. So it begins, this is my ski instructor Heli. We are going for our first runs here, so what do we do now? Ski Instructor: We ski down to Hinterglemm to take a look at the exercising area where Kristin is learning. Apres Ski! And here we do it with Goats. Now here you can actually see the diversity and what makes this ski resort so special. Where are we now? What is the name of this mountain? Ski Instructor: We are now at the Roßwaldkopf. The Roßwaldkopf and we’re going to ski to the other side of the valley. So we’re going down here, going up on the other side and we can enjoy a beautiful scenery as we ski. You know what’s the cool thing about skiing? We’re getting on top of all these beautiful mountains and you have this view. We are now on the Schattberg West and over there is the Schattberg Ost. Kristin, on her third day of skiing, skiing like a champ. All right Kristin, how are you doing? Swell. Swell? All right, next thing on our list is. Night sledding! Yes! But first, dinner. No dinner in Austria is complete withoutSchnapps. So now the real fun starts. We’re going sledding. We’re now at the head of the valley and we’re going snow shoeing today because we have fresh snow and we want to see the landscape around. The tourism board of Saalbach-Hinterglemm offers guided snow shoe hikes every Wednesday or on request including the snow shoes and sticks. Just head over to their website to book your spot and experience a true winter wonderland. Next thing to do in AustriaThat is some fine snow. I’m a connoisseur of sorts. We made our way to the golden gate bridge of the Alps. And after the bridge, here’s this glorious tree walk.
So we’re going back on the sleds. Yes, I’m in the front. Bye, Kristin. So we’re now on the Reiterkogel and Kristin upped her game in skiing. How do you feel today skiing-wise? I still got my sea legs, but I’m okay. So we are up for skiing to the next valley with these guys over there, Martin and Martin. They are from Fieberbrunn and they will take us to the other side of the ski resort. With the new Tirol S gondola, the ski resort in Slazburg is joined by Fieberbrunn in Tirol since January, a ski area which is the famous spot for free riders. This way, the ski circus became the largest ski resort in Austria. We made it to the other side and now we have a well-deserved lunch. After a long day of skiing we finished our day at the Laatschenkiefer-Spa in Fieberbrunn. Hey guys, today we are in Hochfilzen. This is a biathlon hot spot and we’re going to give this sport a try. At the Nordic Academy in Hochfilzen, you can book a biathlon guiding where you get to try cross country skiing in combination with rifle shooting. And that’s biathlon, but the most fun part is the shooting.
The most awesome thing of doing all these sports is you make up for the food you eat afterwards. So we end this dayWith a torch walk. With a torch walk and with schnapps at the end. So we finished the torchlight walk and now we’re having a Jause. The most exciting part of this whole thing here is that we can do some schnapps tasting. Let’s start. Let’s do it. Let’s do it. Leogang is popular for its numerous easy-to-medium downhill runs at the Asitz mountains. A perfect area for beginners like Kristin. What happened Kristin? The Nostalgia Ski World Cup is an event which takes place in Leogang where skiers from different countries compete in a downhill race with authentic equipment and clothes from and Some serious pow wow! And we’re now going sledding. Daytime sledding is possible at the Asitz daily from to p. m. depending on the snow. Also night time sledding is possible on an even longer sledding trek.
