History of Fayetteville (Arkansas)

Fayetteville is the third-largest city in Arkansas and the county seat of Washington County. The population was 106,098 at the 2010 census. It is the principal city of the Fayetteville–Springdale–Rogers metropolitan area, which had a population of 234,314 in 2013. Fayetteville was founded on May 6, 1823 by James Fenton and Jesse B.
