We had observed this at the Magic Kingdom; and, the Disney Wonder did not let us down in any way whatsoever; for, it excelled in all areas – food, activities, entertainment, recreation…
Just boarding the Wonder was in itself like seeing a Wonder of the World. It was a spotlessly clean, marvellous ship with Mickey’s colours, stately ocean liner look, two big red funnels, an impressive design, unique decor and huge size.

A cruise guest said the following, “Disney Wonder is one sleek vessel, with its elongated black hull, two matching red funnels and the yellow insignias encircling the ship. The inside features an elegant art nouveau decor with plenty of subtle nods to the mouse that started it all, from the etched-in-pewter characters in the atrium railings to the hidden micro-mini Mickeys in Palo’s china pattern. Perhaps what this ship does best though is proved that ‘elegance and ‘family friendly don’t have to be mutually exclusive”.
The welcome we received was second to none I have ever had on any of the ships of the various lines I have travelled on; and, the sail away countdown and party which followed were “a must see”; for, some of Disney VIP characters made a grand appearance; and, put on quite a show.
We did not enter our two children into the children’s programs, preferring to have them with us at all times. We wanted to share all experiences together as a family; for, they could have been enrolled in the 3 – 7 year old group.
Neither did we dine at the upscale Palo “with views that vary from an open kitchen to sweeping ocean vistas”. There was an additional cost per person; but, a factoring reason was that the children could not accompany us; for, it was for adults only.
